The Board of the McNary Estates Homeowner Association has approved a street light tree trimming project. City of Keizer ordinance requires that trees near light poles not block the light from the pole. This is important for safety reasons, for compliance with the law, and to protect the assets of the Homeowners Association.
Elwood’s Tree Service will start working in McNary Estates on July 25, 2016 to trim the trees away from all of the light poles in the community. Homeowners with a tree in their yard near a light pole that is scheduled for trimming have been advised by letter.
It is the responsibility of the homeowner to maintain the trees on their property, however this has not been monitored over the past few years, so the Homeowners Association will be doing the work this year only. In the future, the Homeowners Association will expect homeowners to keep their trees from blocking light poles.
Whether or not it is near a light pole, if you have a tree that you would like removed, the arborist is willing to cut down the tree at a discounted rate since he will be here with all of the equipment.
If you would like to have your tree removed rather than trimmed, you must fill out an Architectural Committee Request (click here
) to have the tree removed and explain your plan for its replacement. This will need to be done by July 22, 2016 to give the Architectural Committee time to approve the change.
